Writing for a Purpose

Some of you had a good go at the 'writing for a purpose' tasks.

These tasks are really important as it uses all the skills you have learnt in english and allows you to write for a reason, a real life situation that could be useful in later life.

A writing challenge for you, if you go to the link below, if you have completed one of the tasks try another one

The Quick-Fire Write challenges you to write around 200 words based on the 4 questions at the end of each video, around 50 words per question! Grab yourself a paper and pen, get writing, then send your work in to us at info@litfilmfest.com.

Good luck and we would love to read some of them

Monday 1st June

Today why dont you choose the date of your mum, dad brother or sisters birthday and use that picture to write about from the task mentioned with the image.

Go to https://www.pobble365.com/ and in the top right click on pick day, choose your birth-date and use the text underneath the image to inspire you to write for 45 minutes

English: Tuesday 5th May

This week, why don’t you try writing something that you actually want to write - something that means something to you and interests you. This can be anything: a letter, an email, a story, a journalistic piece of writing, an information piece of writing, a poem, persuasive writing…and any other ideas you might have. It can be absolutely anything!! Enjoy it and I look forward to reading what you chose to write about J !

I have also made a new quiz live on spag.com. There are a lot of live tests on there which you are more than welcome to try (some of you have already completed them) but the one I have made ‘live’ this week is: ‘Formal and Informal (A)’, posted on 4th May. If you would like to revise this subject before then please visit the following website where you can currently set up a free account and access all kinds of resources:
