Week beginning: 18.01.21
Hey Year 2!
We hope you are safe and well! Well done for completing two weeks of home learning. You have all been working really hard at home. Thank you for emailing your teachers all your lovely work. We have enjoyed seeing photos of your Quangle Wangle hats! They look incredible! We have also enjoyed reading your Science writing about woodland habitats.
Keep up the good work and let's tackle week 3 of home learning together! We can do this :)
Our learning will be the same this week and will be set on the class page. We will upload the whole week’s lessons and resources every Friday for the week ahead.
The children will have a Maths and English lesson each morning and a foundation subject in the afternoon. Our zoom lessons will be scheduled at 10:00am (English) and 11:30 am (Maths) every day. We have set the links for the meetings for the whole term. When you login into each zoom meeting, please make sure that your child's name is displayed- this makes it easier for us to take the register. Thank you.
We will continue to set a reading book on 'Rising Stars' every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please continue to read as much as possible and take the time to read any books that you may have at home. This can be independent or with a parent or guardian. The more reading the better! :)
Remember you don’t need to print all of the information and activity sheets out, you can just use the information and respond on paper (or your home learning book) .
Sending work via email:
Maths: From now on, you do not need to send in your Maths home learning. Answer sheets will be available on our class page. Please keep worksheets that have been printed in a separate work folder or place inside your child's home learning book. Please continue to date each piece of work so it can be transferred into the children's Maths folders when they return to school.
English and Foundation subjects- Please keep completed work in your child's home learning book. Any other sheets that have been printed off can also be placed inside your child's home learning book. Spare exercise books can be collected in the school office. Please continue to date each piece of work so it can be shared with the class when the children return to school.
Please email one Writing activity and Art/DT activity each week. We have put this information on our class timetable for you (this week please send a photo of your Art work and Science learning). If your child would like to share a particular piece of work that they are proud of, we will be more than happy to see their fantastic learning! It always helps to boost the children's confidence and wellbeing.
