Homework 19th Nov 2021

 19th November 2021

Homework

We had another busy week learning new, interesting concepts.

In Maths, we learnt how to subtract two digit numbers with and without exchanging.

In History, we learnt about the inventor Alexander Graham Bell who invented the telephone. The children enjoyed talking about how the telephone has changed over the years and compared the oldest with the most recent one. I hope they will be able to tell you everything about it.

We have also started rehearsing our Nativity play and we are amazed with the children’s enthusiasm for acting. Thank you for those who have already memorised their lines! Brilliant work!

Over the weekend, please focus on learning the lines.

Last Friday, the children enjoyed themselves in the Forest School and made brilliant, autumn themed candle stands. Every Friday, a different house will attend the forest school.

Spellings/Phonics

This week we looked at the grapheme ‘il’ which is the common spelling for this sound at the end of words. Please practise the spellings ahead of Friday next week.
