Homework 1st July 2022
It has been a busy week with Year 2 going to The Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve. What a beautiful place it is, full of fascinating nature! I am sure the children told you a lot about itJ
Next Thursday is our Move Up morning where the pupils will spend their time with their new teacher in their new classroom. They will be meeting Miss Dargie. I am sure this will be an exciting day for everybody.
In the evening we are inviting you to both classrooms to see the children’s amazing work.
This week we have done a lot of Science, talking about plants, observing them and coming up with scientific predictions.
We have also started planning our last DT project which you will be able to see on the Open Day.
In Reading we were building our reading stamina.
For Homework the children need to do the reading challenges. Please find the sheet attached.
Main challenge: How long can you read uninterrupted? Measure your time.
This is the last week where the children will have spellings to practise:
travelled squirrels medals until
travelling hospital medical
fossil petals labelling
Next PE will be on Tuesday as on Thursday we have moving up morning.
Next Forest School: Monday and Tuesday, 11th and 12th July.
Please, can the children have long leggings and long sleeves to prevent them being scratched by brambles and nettles etc.
Next week in PSHE we will be talking about our bodies and changes. We will be using the correct terminology to describe our body parts that are private.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday, 7th July between 5.30pm and 6.45pm in our classroom.
Thank you: Mrs Saganowska-Kearney plus the Y2 teamJ
