Homework 22nd April 2022
Welcome to Term 5! I hope you all had a lovely Easter Break!
It has been lovely to see all the children back at school. We have been very busy with our learning this week.
In Maths – we have learnt how to recognise and find thirds. We also have learnt about unit fractions and non-unit fractions. Next week we will learn about equivalent fractions and we will be solving word problems.
In English – we are working with the story ‘Meerkat Mail’ and based on this we have made a story map that will help us to write our own stories.
In Spellings – we learnt about the letters ‘ti’ making the sounds ‘sh’, like in words: station, motion.
Please practise following spellings ahead of our spelling check next week:
station motion potion direction
nation fiction action
mentioned section information
Challenge words: cooperation, collection, commotion
