Homework 29th April 2022

Homework     29th April 2022

This week I have been delighted with the amount of effort the children have been putting into their learning. Well done to all the children for persevering, and trying hard!

In this week’s Art workshop we looked at amazing paintings of famous artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Leonardo da Vinci, Akiyoshi Kitaoka and many others. We also created our own abstract art. See the pictures on the class pages.

In Maths – we finished learning about fractions and next week we will be comparing lengths and measure in cm and metres.

In English – We learnt about commas in a list and rehearsed a lot of grammar rules. The children started to write their stories.

In Geography, we looked at maps and learnt about the compass. Thank you to everyone who brought in various maps. The children had fun looking at them and reading the clues.

In Spellings – This week we learnt about the prefix – un, -dis or –in. By adding the prefix – un, we created opposite adjectives (descriptions) and opposite verbs (actions).

Please practise the following spellings ahead of our spelling check next week:

unlock unpack unwell unlucky

undo unload unable unfinished

unwrap unfair unhappy

Challenge words: disagree, incorrect

Forest school will happen next Friday on 6th May 22 and Jenner will participate in forest activities.

PE day will be on Wednesdays. On Thursdays will be running club. Please ensure your child has his/her uniform to change after running.

Complete the enclosed sheets.

Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend!

Thank you
