Good Morning Everyone

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend and were able to enjoy the glorious sunshine. I have uploaded 3 new books on the Rising Stars website so please make sure you have a look and keep up with your reading.

Stay safe.

Thursday 16th April

Good Morning Reception

Yesterday Mrs Tracey and I were both in school and it was lovely to see each other. However school is very quiet and we missed you all. Our classroom is very quiet and very tidy! However we kept ourselves busy in Forest School and we also planted out some of your plants in the garden. School is so quiet that lots of animals that we usually don't see, are now coming out. Mrs Crowhurst has seen a hedgehog on the school field every day this week. And Mr Irving, the caretaker, told me that he has seen 3 grass snakes basking in the sunshine on the school pond. Later in the afternoon we did some pond dipping and we found 3 newts that were hidden underneath a storage box. We also saw Maximus, who was playing in his garden. I am beginning to plan our work for the start of term next week and will be emailing parents to ask for your help and advice on the best way forward for us all.

Enjoy the last few days of the Easter holidays and stay safe.

Friday 17th April

Happy Friday Everyone

Thank you to all the parents who have emailed with ideas and suggestions on how to proceed with our home schooling plan. I will post the maths plan for next week later on today and suggest that you start on Monday with a morning workout, either Joe Wicks or Cosmic Yoga and then complete some maths. I will post the full plan for the week on Monday morning, as we have a Staff Meeting at school and I need to ensure I am following whole school guidance.

MATHS ON MONDAY - One of the activities involves making jelly using cubes of jelly so you may want to try and add this to your shopping list. Don't worry if you don't have it.

Sophie's Mum told me that you can access Biff and Chip books for free on the Oxford Owl website if you set up a parent account.

Ella's Mum told me you can also access more reading books on the Collins website.

Stay safe and enjoy the last few days of the Easter holidays.
