Cut out the words in the second column and rearrange them and stick each next to their ‘antonym’ in the first column. If you complete that try the second sheet
Friday 3rd December
Your first task is connected to your work you have been doing yesterday and we would like you to write down what you think an unlikely heroine would look like.
Use the antonym ideas from yesterdays work/lesson to write a two-part character description of your own ‘unlikely hero’. Make sure that the character still has some potential to be a hero.

Welcome to the new Year 3 class page! Here I will put information about the class, homework and photographs. Please feel free to use the email address to contact me.
Another week of the children working really hard - I feel that they are settled much more into the routines of Year 3 now. Today we did our One Run event and they all took part - there are some very good runners in Year 3!
We began our new class book this week which I am hoping the children will enjoy. It is called 'The boy who grew dragons' by Andy Shepherd.
Our spellings are being sent out as usual.
I am also sending out some reading comprehension homework. This is a short piece of text and then some questions about it afterwards. I would like the children to be able to try this independently, perhaps with just some help with reading the text/questions. There are only 4 questions as I would really like the children to focus on reading the text and being able to answer independently.
I would also like the children to now focus on counting up in different numbers. All the children are aware of the number sequences that they need to practise (for example, they may need to work on counting up in 4's), and should be able to tell you! Even if it is just asking them to recite them a few times - this will all help.
Have a lovely weekend
