Dear Year 2 Parents,
Thank you for supporting the children at home.
In Phonics/Spellings this week, we are learning four different spellings of the sound /ee/, spelt as: ey, ie, i and e_e..
The words to practise are:
key, chimney, field, donkey, ski, these
The children have learnt many words containing these sounds and have been working very hard.
Please encourage your child to practise the following words at home in preparation for our next dictation whch will be on Monday 12th October 2026.
Please encourage your child to read regularly at home, as this will greatly support their reading development and overall progress.
Please ensure that your child brings their reading record and reading book to school every day, and especially on Mondays, as new books will be given out each Monday.
Thank you for your continued support in helping your children with their learning at home. Please also take a moment to read about our week on the school website in the Year 2 News section.
Warm regards,
Mrs Saganowska
