EYFS News
This week in EYFS we have learnt about the celebration of New Year. We have discussed how different people celebrate here and across the world.
This week:
In maths we have been learning all about numbers 0 - 5, looking at different representations of number and practising subitising..
In Phonics we have been practising all the phonemes we have learnt last term.
In reading we have practised reading words by saying the sounds and then blending to read the word.
Next week in EYFS we will begin our new topic of 'Keeping Healthy'. We will be learning about what our bodies need to stay fit and healthy.
Next week:
In maths we will be learning more about the numbers 0-5, revising finding one more and one less and lokking at the composition of numbers.
In Phonics we will be learning the phonemes /l/ and /k/.
In reading we will practise reading words with 4 letters by saying the sounds and blending to read the word.
Important things to remember:
Reading books are changed on Monday so please return to school after reading with your child. Please also try to write a comment in your child’s contact book.
On Wednesday we will be reading to Year Four so please ensure that your child brings their reading books into school on this day
PE will be on Thursday.
