Last week in EYFS we were learning about our new topic of 'Growing Things'. We have learnt about what a plant needs to grow.

These weeks:

Hopefully you have been relaxing and enjoying the Easter holidays!

Next week in EYFS we will finish off our topic of Growing Things and be planting different seeds. We will also be reading Traditional Fairy Tales in class.

Next week:

In maths we will be learning about 3D shapes - cube, sphere, cone, pyramid, cuboid,  and cylinder. We will name and recognise the shapes and use the correct vocabulary to discuss the properties of these 3D shapes.

In Phonics we will be learning the digraph /oo/ making the short phoneme /oo/ as in 'book' and the long phoneme /oo/ as in 'moon'.

In reading we will work on developing our sight voacbulary of Tricky Words..

Important things to remember:

Reading books are changed on Monday so please return to school after reading with your child. Please make sure to write a comment in your child’s contact book so we know that the books have been read and then we will change them..

On Wednesday we will be reading to Year Four so please ensure that your child brings their reading books into school on this day

PE this term will continue to be on Tuesday and hopefully we will be outside in the sunshine..
