Year 6 News
This week, we have started our learning about evolution in science as well as participating in some live online science lessons about space technology. We also enjoyed some fun boat making on Friday afternoon as part of science week.
We’ve written some brilliant balanced arguments about whether or not teachers should be replaced with robots and AI – some of their ‘for’ ideas were very interesting!!
This week:
In maths, we completed our learning about decimals and have started new learning about the relationship between fractions, decimals and percentages.
In English, we wrote our balanced arguments.
In reading, we have been exploring the text ‘Shackelton’.
In PE (tennis), we worked on our accuracy and shot technique.
Next week:
In maths, we will continue with our learning about decimals, percentages and fractions.
In English, we will be exploring narratives.
In reading, we will be exploring a variety of texts.
In history, we will be learning about The Great Flood of Tonbridge in 1968.
Important things to remember:
Homework was set on Monday – please see the class page for this.
