Year 3 News
This week we continued to learn about the beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians. We finished our Egyptian mask project! The children took a lot of effort in finishing, decorating their Egyptian's masks! They look totally amazing!
English: We started planning to write nature/descriptive poems.
Reading: We worked on comprehension and information retrieval based on our class book, Nano.
Maths: We learnt how to add, subtract fractions with teh same denomainator and how to partition a whole.
History: We leaqrnt about Egyptian gods and goddesses.
Geography: We explored latitude and longitude.
PE: We continued practising our athletic skills in preparation for Sports Day.
Next Week
English: We will write nature/descriptive poems.
Reading: We will start with fluency and comprehension with a new class novel.
Maths: We will learn about unit and non-unit fraction and solve word problems involving fractions.
History: We will be learning about the life of ordinary Egyptians and why the Nile river was so important for them.
Geography: We will be learnig about climate ones.
PE: We will participate in Sport day practice.
