Year 3 News
Welcome back to our wonderful Year 3's. We have had such a good first full week and had lots of fun already!
This week:
In Maths, we are learning about place value and how to work using a number line.
In English, we are learning about how to write a set of instructions for 'How to make a magical potion'. We started this by making a magical potion ourselves! In Reading, we are exploring the text 'The pebble in my pocket- A History of our Earth' by Meredith Hooper and Chris Coady.
In Geography, we have been looking at compass and following directions.
In PE, we have been learning different jumps in gymnastics.
In computing, we have been learning about algorithms using 'Lego spike'.
We have also started to learn some new sounds in French!
Next week:
In Maths, we are continuing to learn about place value.
In English, we are continuing to work on writing instructions. We will be learning new skills such as using alliteration and imperative verbs.
In Reading, we will be continuing to read 'The pebble in my pocket'.
In PE, we will be doing some OAA and continuing to learn new skills in gymnastics.
