Year 4 News

01 May 26

We have had a really good week in Year 4.

In PE, we have started a new topic based on Athletics. The class loved learning about hurdles this week! They were INCREDIBLE!

This week:

In English we have started looking at point, evidence, prove and how this helps persuade the reader.

In reading we are exploring the text ‘KrindleKrax’ and focusing on answering comprehension questions

In Maths, we have been looking at hundredths as fractions and decimals.

In Geography, we have begun to look at four figure grid references.

Next week:

In maths, we will begin our decimals b book.

In English we will start planning a persuasive argument.

In reading we will be exploring the text ‘KrindleKrax’ and focusing on answering comprehension questions.

In PE, we will continue to learn about athletics and begin practising for sports day.

Important things to remember:

PE Days will be Wednesday and Thursday this term.

Please send your child in with a hat this term for when the weather gets hotter.

Please continue to encourage your child to practise their times tables and especially focusing on playing 'Sound Check' whilst on TT Rockstars.

Have a good weekend.
