Year 4 News

This week in Year 4 we have had a really good week.

We had a brilliant week for Science and were able to make some slime!! Thank you Mrs Saganowska and Miss Dargie for organising!

This week:

In Maths we have started learning about equivalent fractions.    

In English we have are learning the success criteria for our written topic (Fronted adverbials, subordinating and coordinating conjunctions and Speech marks).

In reading we are exploring the text ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’ and focusing on summarising key events. 

In Science, we looked at making electrical circuits to power a light bulb, buzzer and motor. 

 

Next week:

In maths we will continue learning about equivalent fractions. 

In English we will start writing some Greek Myths together as a class. 

In reading we will be exploring the text ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’ and answering inference questions. 

In History, we will be looking at Ancient Greek entertainment. 

 

Important things to remember:

PE Days will be Wednesday and Thursday this term. 

Please continue to encourage your child to practise their times tables and especially focusing on playing 'Sound Check' whilst on TT Rockstars.
