Year 4 News
This week in Year 4 we have had a good week.
We have started to read some Ancient Greek Myths, and we just finished the story of Persephone and her time in the Underworld.
We have also learned about Food Hygiene and how we can work safely in a kitchen.
This week:
In Maths we are learning how to use the formal method for division.
In English we are learning about main and subordinate clauses.
In reading we are exploring the text ‘Tales of Brave and Brilliant Girls from Greek Myths’.
In Science, we are learning about Sound and how we produce louder sound vibrations.
Next week:
In maths we will be learning about short division with remainders.
In English we will be learning about fronted adverbials and how we use them for effect in instructional writing.
In reading we will be exploring the text ‘Tales of Brave and Brilliant Girls from Greek Myths’ and focusing on answering inference questions.
In Science, we are learning about Sound and what happen to sound as distance from the sound source increase.
Important things to remember:
Reminder for our school trip this term to Tonbridge School on Monday 26th January. We will be making Vegetable Soup. The class will need a secure Tupperware pot to bring their soup home!
Please remember to bring a warm coat, hat and gloves for the colder weather.
