Applying for a Primary School Place


Applications for a place at Stocks Green Primary School are made through Kent County Council. Parents and carers can find all the information they need about how to apply for a Reception place, or transfer into Year 3 (Junior), on the Kent County Council website.

The site explains the application process in detail — including key dates, how to select and rank your preferred schools, and what to do if you miss a deadline or wish to appeal a decision. Guidance is also provided on moving schools mid-year and on applying for places outside the normal admission round.

We recommend that parents read the information carefully before making an application to ensure all forms are completed correctly and on time.

These will be held:

Thursday 6th November - 13:45 - 15:00

Wednesday 12th November  - 10:30 - 11:45

 

Please email the school office, office@stocks-green.kent.sch.uk to book your place. Please include your child's name, date of birth and contact number as well as how many adults will be attending.

Appeals

If your child is due to start primary school in September 2026, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Thursday 16 April 2026).

You must submit your appeal before Monday 18 May 2026 for it to be considered by Monday 20 July 2026. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
