School Uniform List – 2024 / 25
At Stocks Green we believe that having a uniform helps to build a sense of community. We worked alongside our whole school community to update our uniform policy and a copy of this can be found here.
We ask that all items of school clothing are named.

Cleanliness
With OPAL Play a central pillar of the school's offer, we understand that pupils will get dirty at break times and lunch times and that this can cause pressure on parents to send the children in with clean uniform every day. As a school, we believe that the children developing their social skills, play and forming happy memories is more important than having perfectly clean uniform every day. Therefore, if pupils have some residual mud on their uniform from the day before, the school understands this may be a consequence of the fantastic play opportunities that pupils are given.
Jewellery and Hairstyles
The only items of jewellery permitted in school are one pair of stud earrings and a watch.
Earrings must be removed for PE and swimming lessons. If they cannot be removed for a medical reason, then they must be covered with medical tape. If a child cannot remove the earrings themselves then these should be removed at home on PE days. Staff are not allowed to assist in the removal/insertion of or taping up of earrings. As such, we would ask that any ear piercing takes place at the beginning of the summer holidays to allow time for healing and, thus, removal of the earrings.
Watches can be worn in school. However, they must not be a type of smart watch that can send messages, make a phone call or take pictures, for safeguarding reasons.
The school can accept no liability for the loss of any personal property.
Haircuts should be moderate in nature. Long hair should be tied back and only small, neat hair accessories may be worn. Hair accessories should be discreet and ideally be in the school’s colours. Make up, nail varnish or dyed hair is not permitted or considered acceptable for school.
All the items listed above are available from our School Uniform Supplier - brochures available from the school office or see link below. You can also buy non-branded items from any generic store or supermarket. A percentage of everything bought from our supplier's catalogue will return to the school to support your child's education.
The PTA also sells many second hand items of clothing this includes:
Logoed items (bookbags, backpacks, jumpers, cardigans, PE sweatshirts, hats, PE and white t-shirts) are priced at £2 and non-logoed items (trousers, pinafores, shorts, skirts, summer dresses and polo shirts) are £1. PTA uniform sales are carried out on a termly basis.
Payment can be made via cash, cheque (made out to 'Stocks Green School Association') or by Paypal (sgpspta@gmail.com).
Paypal payment is subject to an individual transaction fee.
Alternatively, if you unable to attend the uniform sale, email sgpspta@gmail.com with your uniform requirements for collection from school throughout the academic year.
OTHER USEFUL ITEMS
Plain hats/school caps may be worn during the summer term.
Parents are also requested to provide their child with a book bag to bring homework and other items to and from school in.
Lunch boxes
Please note that glass bottles are not permitted in lunch boxes and drinks must have sports caps on. We are a nut free school, so request that no items containing nuts are sent into school. Also, no sweets should be brought to school.
Packed lunches are stored on trollies provided at school. You may like to use an ice pack in these, as we cannot provide refrigerated storage for any lunch boxes.
